In short
BMC management software runs a bulk milk cooler: farmer-level collection and quality at the BMC, tank temperature logging for compliance, stock and dispatch to the plant, and farmer payments and advances. Hamari Dairy supports both own BMCs and agent-operated BMCs with the correct payment logic for each, works offline, and prints farmer slips on POS-58 thermal printers.
How it works
Simple BMC workflow
From farmer's can to plant tanker — every liter accounted for
- 1
Farmer collection
Record farmer milk with quantity and FAT/SNF quality, shift by shift
- 2
Cooling & stock
Track milk stock in the cooler with continuous temperature logs
- 3
Dispatch to plant
Dispatch milk to the processing unit with quantity and quality samples
- 4
Farmer payments
Settle farmers with quality-based rates, advances, and payment records

Integrations
Works with your existing hardware
Hamari Dairy is software, not a hardware lock-in. It reads the analyzers, collection units, scales and printers already installed at your centres.
Milk analyzers
Ultrasonic and FTIR/NIR analyzers that output FAT, SNF, CLR, protein, lactose and added water over a serial port — including Everest, Ksheera, Lactoscan, Lactostar, Milkotester and Ekomilk units. Readings post straight into the collection entry; no manual typing.
AMCU / DPMCU units
Automatic milk collection units at village societies, whether the unit drives the analyzer and scale itself or the PC does. Collection, quality and weight arrive as one record per farmer.
Weighing scales
Electronic platform and can scales with RS232 or USB output. Weight is captured at the moment of collection rather than keyed in afterwards.
Thermal & slip printers
POS-58 and compatible 58 mm thermal printers over USB or Bluetooth for farmer slips, plus standard A4 printers for bills and reports. Slips print in the farmer's language.
Connection types
RS232 serial, RS232-to-USB converters, direct USB and Bluetooth. Runs on Windows PC, Android tablets and the browser — same data, multiple access points for your team. If your analyzer emits a serial reading, its format can be mapped, so you do not replace working equipment to change software.
Weighbridges (plant intake)
Tanker weighbridge readings captured at plant intake and reconciled against the dispatch record from the source BMC or chilling centre.
Drivers for POS-58 thermal printers, RS232-to-USB converters and UFT devices are on the downloads page. Not sure whether your analyzer is supported? Send us the model and we will confirm.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is BMC management software?
A bulk milk cooler (BMC) sits between village collection and the plant. BMC management software records farmer-level collection and quality at the BMC, tracks tank temperature for compliance, maintains stock and dispatch to the plant, and handles farmer payments and advances — replacing the register and the separate temperature log book.
Does it work for agent-operated BMCs as well as own BMCs?
Yes. Own BMCs run as internal centres with the dairy paying farmers directly. Agent BMCs run on a commission or purchase-rate model where the agent is the supplier. Both are supported side by side, with the correct payment logic applied per BMC.
How does temperature logging work?
Chilling tank temperature is recorded against time and dispatch, producing an auditable compliance log per tank. Readings can be entered by the operator or read from connected equipment, and out-of-range periods are flagged.
Can farmers get payment slips and SMS alerts?
Yes. A slip prints at collection on a POS-58 thermal printer, and collection and payment alerts can be sent by SMS or WhatsApp in the farmer's language. Farmers can also see their own collection history in the mobile app.
Does BMC software work offline?
Yes. BMCs are usually the least reliably connected point in the chain, so collection, testing, printing and dispatch all run offline and sync when the connection returns.
